Mildred R. (Leonard) Cook

SOUTH BEND - Mildred R. Cook, 83, of Regency Place, formerly of Dubois Avenue, died about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the nursing home.

Mrs. Cook was born Dec. 1, 1906, in Benton Harbor, and lived in the Michiana area most of her life.

On Aug. 12, 1943, in South Bend, as Mildred Leonard, she married Walter W. Cook. He died Feb. 26, 1975.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. Huff of Danville, Ky., and Marcia L. Buzalski of Granger; a son, Jack S. of Schaumburg, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Order of Beauceant.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace Baptist Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2. to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
