Elizabeth (Szabo) Cako

Elizabeth Cako, 74, of 721 S. Twyckenham, died at 5:07 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Hospital after an apparent heart attack. She was retired from the National Bank and Trust Co. She was born on Dec. 20, 1905, in Kupuvar, Hungary, and had lived in South Bend most of her life.

On Dec. 31, 1938, in South Bend, she was married to Charles J. Cako. He survives, along with two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte A. Lootens of South Bend and Mrs. Sheryl Chambers of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Doades of Dallas.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Little Flower Catholic Church. Rev. William Niedhart, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

She was a member of the National Bank Retirees Club.
