Ada Irene (Greiner) Hendry

SOUTH BEND - Graveside services and burial for Ada Greiner Hendry, 86, of Los Angeles, formerly of South Bend, who died at 5:25 p.m. Friday in Centennial Park Convalescent Hospital, Inglewood, Calif., will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southlawn Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hendry retired as a teacher in Los Angeles after 30 years of service. She was born Sept. 20, 1906, in Linn Grove, Ind., and moved to Los Angeles 1940, going there from South Bend. 

As Ada Greiner, she married David S. Hendry. He died in 1951.

She is survived by a sister, Ferne Greiner of Mishawaka; and a brother, Sterling Greiner of Joliet, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Indiana University and the University of Southern California. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Knox Presbyterian, Church and Assistance League Southern California
