Walter W. Cook, 69, of 19584 Dubois, died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Cook was chairman of the Electronic Service Co. Inc. Born on June 2, 1905, in Rockford. Ill., he had lived here most of his life.
On Aug. 12, 1943, in South Bend, he married Mildred Leonard, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jack Sanford Cook of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Jean Huff of Chula Vista, Calif., and Mrs. Marcia Lynne Buzalski of Granger; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Edwin of South Bend and Claude of Boynton Beach, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. Lucille Rethlake of Sebring, Fla.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Grace Baptist Church of which he was a member. Rev. Charles W. Davis Jr., D. D., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 31 N.
Cook was a member of Council Oak Lodge 745, F&AM, and the American Association of Retired Persons.
