A memorial service for Private (F.C.) Donald A. Gregg, aged 22, who died in a Japanese prison camp, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Hollis funeral chapel. Private Gregg was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Gregg, 715 East Colfax  Avenue.

Rev. Roscoe F. Wilson, D.D., pastor of the First United Brethren church, and Rev. Wendell P. Corcoran, C.S.C., pastor of St. Joseph Roman Catholic church, will have charge of the service.

Presentation of a service flag will be made by members of Bendix Post No. 284, American Legion, and the Gold Star Mothers will present a star to Mrs. Gregg. Taps will be sounded by a bugler of River Park post No. 303, American Legion.

Private Gregg was captured when Corregidor fell, but was not officially announced as a prisoner until nearly a year later. He enlisted in January, 1941. A telegram from the War Department recently notified parents of his death.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Dec. 4, 1920, he spent nearly all his life in this city, attending Nuner Junior High and Central Senior High Schools. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Charles Skees, 213 North Frances Street.
