Alice (Doran) Finneran

Aug. 18, 1903 - April 30, 1990

SOUTH BEND - Alice Finneran, 86, of Carlisle, Iowa, formerly of South Bend, died Monday afternoon at Des Moines (Iowa) General Hospital. Mrs. Finneran was a legal secretary for the former law firm of Doran, Manion, Boynton, Kamm & Esmont.

She was born Aug. 18, 1903, in Bronson, Mich., and spent most of her life in this area, moving to Iowa in 1978.

On Jan. 19, 1925, in South Bend, as Alice Doran, she married Charles J. Finneran, who died in 1974.

She is survived by a son, Michael of Carlisle; eight grandchildren; and two great -grandchildren. 

A daughter, Jeanne A. Metcalf, died in 1989.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road, where a combined rosary will be said at 4 p.m. by the parish and the Altar Society.
