Merle (Shidler) Warner

Mrs. Merle Shidler Warner, 318 W. Navarre St., widow of Eugene B. Warner, former owner of the JMS Building director of the Associates Building. Company, the Emmco Insurance Company and the Emmco Casualty Company, died at 12:15 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after seven weeks' illness.

Mrs. Warner was born Feb. 15, 1890 in Ellisville, Ill. She, moved with her family to Navarre Street address in 1897 and resided there the rest of her life. She was graduated in 1911 from Smith College, Northampton, Mass.

On Feb. 27, 1915, she was married to Eugene B. Warner. He died Jan. 31, 1947,

A member of First Methodist Church, Mrs. Warner was on the board of directors of the Visiting Nurses Assn. and Associated Charities and a member of the Antiquarian Society and the Women's College and Literary Clubs.

Survivors are a daughter, Miss Barbara K. Warner, and a son, E. Blair Warner, both of South Bend, and two grandsons.
