Alfred M. Morningstar
Apr. 28, 1876 - April 25, 1928
Alfred M. Morningstar, age 51, an accountant with the Studebaker Corporation, died in the residence, 1519 Virginia Street, Wednesday afternoon at 4:55 o’clock after an illness of two and one-half years following a nervous breakdown.
He was born April 28, 1876, in Sturgis, Mich., and came to South Bend 40 years ago from Scott, Ind.
His marriage to Miss Viola E. Walker, who survives, took place Sept. 28, 1901, in Kansas City, Mo.
He is also survived by six children, Glen Morningstar, of Detroit, Mich., and Clyde, Ray, George, Ruth and Hazel Morningstar, at home, and the following brothers and sisters: Benjamin, Reuben, John and Frederick Morningstar, of this city; Henry Morningstar, of Iowa, and Mrs. Willard Holcomb and Miss Carrie Morningstar, of South Bend.
The body may be viewed in the residence until the time of the funeral which will be held in the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, of this city, and of the Mother church, in Boston, Mass.
