Ellen May Keogan

Jul. 6, 1877 - May 8, 1932

Mrs. Ellen M. Koegan, age 54, of 1425 Miami street, died at 7:30 o'clock Sunday evening in her residence, after a week's illness following a stroke of apoplexy.

She as a member of St. Matthew's Roman Catholic church aznd of the women's auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. She was born in South Bend, July 6, 1877 and lived all her life here. She was married in South Bend, June 23, 1903, to Richard Koegan, who survives. Mrs. Koegan leaves, besides her husband, four children, Richard, jr., Daniel J., Mary and Genevieve all at home, and one brother, William J. O'Shea, of Chicago. She was a daughter of the late Patrick O'Shea.

The body will lie in state in the residence and funeral rites will take place at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday morning from St. Matthew's church. Rev. Theodore Hammes, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery.
