William P. Megan

William P. Megan, 61, of 59670 Locust Road, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack in his home. He was employed by the Bendix Corp. for 40 years.

Born on Sept. 5, 1919, in South Bend, he lived here all his life.

On June 27, 1947, in Elkhart, he married Cosette Fifer, who survives with a daughter, Miss Mary Jo Megan of Garland, Tex.; a son, Bert W. of Elkhart; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Imogene Klockow, Mrs. Mary Freshley and Mrs. Ruth Toth, all of South Bend, and Mrs. Hazel Bunch of San Diego, Calif; and his mother, Mrs. Mary Megan of South Bend.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson. Rev. Robert A. Yast, pastor of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home
