Helen Elizabeth (Bassler) Frame

May 23, 1920 - June 8, 2005

Helen Elizabeth (Bassler) Frame, 85, of 115 Scenicview Drive, Niles, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2005, in Buchanan Meadows Living Center. Helen was born May 23, 1920, to the late Carl R. and Inez M. (Cudahy) Bassler in Mishawaka, IN.

She married Harry Humrichouser in 1940 in a ceremony in South Bend. Harry passed away only ten years later in 1950. On December 12, 1952, she married the late James E. Frame in a ceremony in South Bend, IN.

She was a devoted housewife and loving mother. Helen enjoyed keeping company with her friends and neighbors, being involved in several different bridge clubs in Buchanan and also in Niles. She was also a member of St.

Mary's Catholic Church. Helen is survived by five daughters, Nancy (Michael) Mitchell of Grass Valley, CA, Susan (George) Chatlos of Greensburg, PA, Cheryl (Joe) Malinowski of Niles, Jamie (Dave) Pietroski of Evanston, IL, and Jackie Glossinger of Park Ridge, IL; six grandchildren, Shannon Mitchell of Grass Valley, CA, Chad Chatlos of San Francisco, CA, Brad (Shannon) Chatlos of Annapolis, MD, Nicole Malinowski of Grand Rapids, Michelle Malinowski of East Lansing and Jill Glossinger of Park Ridge, CA; two great-grandsons; and one brother, Richard C. (Josephine) Bassler of Niles, Ml.

A time of remembrance and visitation will be held Thursday, June 9, 2005, from 4 to 7 p.m. (Michigan time) in Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A private service will be held at a later time. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution may do so to Hospice at Home, Inc., 4017 Chamberlain Road, Buchanan, Ml 49107. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services (formerly Pifer-Smith Funeral Home).
