Lois Elizabeth (Thompson) Woehlke

Lois Elizabeth Thompson Woehlke, 86, of Muncie, began fully enjoying the Kingdom of Our Lord at 12:20 p.m., Thursday June 12, 2008. Lois was born August 11, 1921, in South Bend, IN, received her B.S.H.E. from Purdue University, December 1942. Active member of the Women's Club, Elm Grove, WI (Pres); Kappa Kappa Gamma; P.E.O., D.A.R. (Regent, Milwaukee), Advisory Board (Pres.), St. Catherine's Residence for Women (Milw.).

Lois is survived by Leslie J. Woehlke, her husband of nearly 65 years; 5 of her 6 children, Tom (wife, Marie), of Minneapolis, MN, Chris Ziuchkovski (husband Pat), of Colo. Springs, CO, Jim (wife, Kristal), of Poughkeepsie, NY, Betsy Miller (husband Chris), of Muncie, and Peg McEvoy (husband Jim) of Baltimore, MD; 19 grandchildren, John, Lynne Woehlke; Rick, Jim and Bob Ziuchkovski; Nik, Stef, Tom, Jay and Henry Woehlke; Andrew, Laura, Matt, and Nathan Miller; and Anne, Elizabeth, Zach and Carrie McEvoy; and six great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Abby, Chrissy, Timmy, Caleb and Sophia.

Lois was predeceased by her parents, Laura Elizabeth Schwab Thompson and C.A. Thompson, M.D., brother, Thomas, and son Bobby.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2008 at St. Mary's Church, 2300 W Jackson Street, Muncie, IN. Calling will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday at St. Mary's Church.

Memorial donations can be given to St. Catherine's Residence for Women, 1032 E. Knapp St. Milwaukee, WI 53202 or St. Mary's Church, Muncie.
