Ann (Theede) Granat

Feb. 4, 1920 - Sept. 3, 1999

Ann Theede Granat passed away on Friday, Sept. 3, at the age of 79. She was born on Feb. 4, 1920, in Germany, and emigrated with her parents and siblings in 1923, settling in South Bend, Ind., where she remained for 47 years.

She married Michael Charles Granat on June 7, 1941, and they relocated to Whittier, Calif., in 1970. She was preceded in death by her husband.

She leaves two children, Michael R. Granat of Aliso Viejo, Calif, and Gail McBride of Whittier; two sisters, Hertha Forslund of South Bend and Frieda Slisz of Mishawaka, Ind.; four grandchildren, Michael A. Granat, Suzi Rodgers, Jennifer McBride and Kathleen McBride; and two greatgrandchildren, Blake and Anna Rodgers.

Private services were held in Whitier. Remembrances may be made to the Whittier College Scholarship Fund, Whittier. Rose Hills Mortuary, Whittier, is handling arrangements
