Ruby Lahey, 57. of 3327 Twyckenham, died at 5:46 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness. She had been a registered nurse and graduated from the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was born on n July 21, 1920, in South Bend and had lived there all her life.

On Feb. 14, 1942, in South Bend, she married James Lahey, who survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Charles Miller of Bay City, Mich.; three sons, Thomas J. of Tiburon, Calif., and Patrick B. and Charles W., both of South Bend; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jane Brown of South Bend, and a brother, Robert Taylor of Casselberry, Fla.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

She was past president of the Service Guild, a member of the St. Matthew Cathedral Rosary Society and past president of the St. Matthew Catholic School Parent-Teacher Association. She also was active in the Christ Child Society.
