March 22, 1921 - March 20, 2008
SOUTH BEND-Evelyn Rymer Pollyea, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away at 1:50 am, Thursday, after an illness, in the Silverado Senior Living Center in Salt Lake City. She formerly lived in South Bend for 54 years before moving to be near her daughter.

Mrs. Pollyea was born in Mishawaka, IN on March 22, 1921 to David and Stella Rymer. She was married to Stanley R. Pollyea for sixty years before he passed away exactly five years before her on March 20, 2003.

She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Beth-El, where she was Past- President of the Sisterhood and was honored with the Woman of the Year Award.

Evelyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Steven H. and Ruth A. Pollyea of Oro Valley, AZ ; her daughter Barbara A. Pollyea of Salt Lake City; a brother Richard Rymer of Lansing, MI. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her step-mother Jeanette Rymer who raised her after her birth mother died when she was just two years old, along with two sisters Florence Morrison and Genevieve Medow and a brother Barry Rymer.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka, where burial will follow. Rabbi Eric Siroka, officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests people wishing to made donations direct them to the Evelyn & Stanley Pollyea Spirituality Fund, Temple Beth-El, 305 W.
