Esther G. (Rusk) Kraft

Esther G. Kraft, 79, residing on South Miami Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center where she had been a patient for one week.

Mrs. Kraft was born on Feb. 14. 1920, in Pierceton, Ind., to the late Clyde and Gertrude Rusk, and had lived in South Bend most of her life. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Barker, and by a brother, Clyde Rusk.

On March 4, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Okla., as Esther Rusk, she married Marvin A. "Red" Kraft. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Marvin Kraft.

Esther enjoyed her flowers and playing golf. She was a member of two ladies golf leagues at the Studebaker Golf Course, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of South Bend.

Services for Mrs. Kraft will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Elwood Smith, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Thursday in the Palmer Funeral Home.

Contributions in memory of Esther Kraft may be made to the Salvation Army.
