Richard L. Rommel

SOUTH BEND - Richard L. Rommel, 75, of Johnson Road, died at 1:34 p.m. Sunday in St. Paul's Healthcare Center. Mr. Rommel retired in 1992,  as a self-employed public accountant. He was born June 11, 1920, in South Bend.

On April 26, 1941, in South Bend, he married Georgia R. Thiel. She died Sept. 16, 1979.

He is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Horner of South Bend and Mary Welch of Jenison, Mich.; a son, Carl of Schaumburg, Ill.; three grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph of Louisville, Texas.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and was a volunteer for Junior Achievement.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society
