Leon Joseph McKiel nee Makielski
McKiel - Word has been received of the death of Leon J. McKiel, 57, of Aurora, Ill., formerly of South Bend, who died about 6:45 p.m. Sunday in Copley Memorial Hospital, Aurora. He was born on Dec. 19. 1919, in South Bend.
Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Cheminiak MeKiel; a daughter, Cynthia of Angers, France; a sister, Mrs. Lee Panther of Oakland, Calif., and his mother, Mrs. Stephanie McKiel of South Bend.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Church here. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
The McKeowen-Dunn Funeral Home, Oswego, Ill., was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be St. Patrick's Church or any charity.
