First Lieut. Victor J. Lamar

First Lieut. Victor J. Lamar. aged 24, was killed in action in Germany Feb. 25, 1945, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Lamar. 1013 West Washington avenue.
He had previously been reported missing on that date, He had served overseas with the 76th division since November, 1944. going Into Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. A 1938 graduate of Central High school, Lieut. Lamar attended Ripon college, Ripon, Wis. He Inducted April 7, 1943, at Fort Sheridan, IlL, and received his basic training at Fort McClelland, Ala.
Surviving besides his parenta are two sisters, Emily Joan (Lamar) Weyrick and Nancy, and a brother, Richard, all at home.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 m. Sunday, Oct. 21, tm the First Christian church with Rev. Frank E. Davison, officiating
