W. Edwin Kizer

SOUTH BEND - William Edwin Kizer, 70, of 52525 Portage Road, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in his home after an illness. Mr. Kizer retired in 1980 from Sears, Roebuck & Co. as a manager in the hardware department after 48 years.
He was born April 13, 1920, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.
On April 22, 1946, in St. Joseph, he married Dorothy I. Hammer, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy Holcomb of South Bend; a son, Greg of South Bend; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mary A. Kizer of South Bend.
He member of Calvary Baptist Church, Disabled American Veterans, and was a veteran of World War II. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Calvary Baptist Church. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum.
