Lois I. (Grannell) DeLeury
Feb. 24, 1920 - March 30, 1999
Lois Irene DeLeury, 79, of Santa Monica Drive in Granger, Ind., passed way peacefully at 10:37 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, at the Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Centre in South Bend, Ind. Lois was born on Feb. 24, 1920, to Harty F. and Nora (Crowley) Grannell in Rosedale, Ind. Both have preceded her in death. In the 1930s Lois and her family moved to South Bend where she worked for the Bendix Corporation during World War II.
On Jan. 27, 1945, in South Bend, Lois married Robert Wayne DeLeury, who preceded her in death on May 13, 1979. Lois was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jolon DeLeury; a brother, Robert Grannell; and by a sister, Betty Albright.
Lois leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughter, Norine DeLeury of British Columbia, Canada; and by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Gratitude goes out to the staffs of the Nephrology Clinic and the Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Centre who recognized her strength and dignity, and who attended to her care with much kindness. Lois will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
Interment services will be private at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Ind. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the National Kidney Foundation
