Fred Edward Freeman

March 28. 1920 - May 4, 1994

SOUTH BEND Fred E. Freeman, 74, of 94295 Gebhard, Lawton, formerly of 801 Napoleon Blvd., died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Mr. Freeman retired from the University of Notre Dame as assistant personnel director. He was born March 28, 1920, Mishawaka and lived in South Bend most of his life.

He is survived by a sister, Mary Stevens of Logansport, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica and Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 553, and a veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Basilica. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 8 p.m. Tuesday in McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road.
