SOUTH BEND - Services for Elsie Mae Steinhoffer, 68, of 23205 Adams Road, who died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday in her home of natural causes, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Northwest United Methodist Church, formerly Portage United Methodist Church, or the American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Steinhoffer was a former employee of the former First Bank & Trust Co. (now 1st Source Bank), where she was in charge of new accounts and safety deposits.

She was born Aug. 31, 1921, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Wells of Van Nuys, Calif.; a son, Victor Jr. of Benton Harbor; a stepbrother, Herbert J. Smith of Mishawaka; and her mother, Ruby I. Smith of South Bend.

A daughter, Judith K. Steinhoffer, died in 1942.
