Des Moines Marjorie Messer, 81, of the 1100 block of Amos Avenue died of complications of pneumonia Tuesday at Mercy Medical Center. The body was cremated, and no services are planned. Mrs. Messer was born in South Bend, Ind., and had lived in Des Moines all her life. She was a homemaker and had worked in the bindery department of Meredith Publishing before retiring.
She is survived by two sons, Allen and Mark, both of Des Moines; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Southtown Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
