Frank E. Fairchild

Mass of Christian Burial for Frank E. Fairchild, 86, Batesville, formerly of Aurora and Leesburg, Fla., was Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Batesville, with burial in St. Louis Cemetery.

Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville, was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Fairchild died Thursday, Feb. 3,  in Hospitality Hall, Batesville.

He was an operating engineer for American Electric Power in Lawrenceburg for 40 years before retiring. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a member of Prell-Bland American Legion Post No. 272 in Batesville, Knights of Columbus and Leesburg Veterans of Foreign Wars in Leesburg, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Roselle Fairchild; three sons, Ken Fairchild, Batesville, Don Fairchild, Portland, Ore., and Tom Fairchild, Indianapolis; five grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Memorials may be made to Phi Beta Psi Sorority cancer research project.
