Ruth Elaine (Elmore) Sinclair

R. Elaine Sinclair, 55, of 1519 N. Sheridan, died at 9:40 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a three- week illness. Mrs. Sinclair was the office manager for L.S. Ayres Department Store. Born on Oct. 21, 1920, in South Bend, she had lived here her lifetime.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Marian Elmore of South Bend; a daughter, Carrie of South Bend; four sons, Scott, Mark, Kirk and Duff, all of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Scarla Michael of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. Jackie Flint of South Bend; and a brother, Robert of Bourbon.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 31 N.

Mrs. Sinclair was a member of the Credit Women's Association.
