Harold A. DeSonia

SOUTH BEND - Harold A. DeSonia, 71, of San Diego, formerly of South Bend, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in Scripps Hospital, San Diego. He retired as a tool and die maker. Born July 25, 1919, in South Bend, he spent most of his life in this area.

On Dec. 16, 1940, he married Virginia Krug. She survives, with a daughter, Diane Yoshonis of Ramona, Calif.; a son, David of Pine Valley, Calif.; two grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Emerick of LaMesa, Calif., and Helen Weaver and Marietta Place, both of South Bend; and a brother, Arthur DeSonia of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Methodist Church, San Diego. Cremation has been arranged by the Telophase Society
