James P. Coleman, 67, of 24213 W. Edison Road, died at 2:47 a.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital. Mr. Coleman was retired president and founder of L.C. Typesetting Co. He was born Oct. 25, 1919, in Jimtown, and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 14, 1945, in South Bend, he married Adeline M. Sorners, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Nancy Augustine of Elkhart and Paulette Collins of Mishawaka; two sons, James P. III of Granger and Frank L. of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Kathryn Siderits and Nora F. Pietrzak, both of South Bend; and a brother, David L. of South Bend.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. 

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 58 and M.R. Falcons Nest 4. He was a prisoner of war during World War II and received the Purple Heart.
