Graveside services and burial for Donald Lamar Carter, 67, of Jackson, Tenn., formerly of South Bend, who died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at General Hospital, Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Violet Cemtery, Goshen. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.

Mr. Carter was a retired executive of Allied-Signal Corp.'s Bendix operations. He was born March 5, 1920, in Indiana, and lived in South Bend until moving to Jackson in 1974.

On Aug. 22, 1942, he married Betty Wadel, who survives.

He was a member of the board of directors of Jackson Symphony, the board of directors of Jackson Arts Council, and a member of the Hospital Foundation Board of Jackson
