Jane E. (Burke) DeBella

SOUTH BEND Jane E. DeBella, 70, of 721 Woodcliff St., died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 1989, in her home after an illness. She was employed by Gilbert's Men's Clothing store for six years and also worked with Milady Shop at Scottsdale Mall for 10 years.

Born Dec. 12, 1918, in Detroit, Mich., she lived in South Bend most of her life. On Jan. 1, 1946, in South Bend, as Jane E. Burke, she married Nicolas DeBella, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Karan Williams of Cary, N.C.; and two granddaughters.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Notre Dame, and Central High School's Class of 1937.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or to a charity of the donor's choice
