Ruth (Wise) Zadra

Ruth Zadra, 55, 4708 Mayfield Drive, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in her home, after suffering an apparent heart attack. She was born Nov. 19, 1919 in South Bend.
On Jan. 2, 1944, she married Gilbert Zadra, who survives. She had been employed as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital for 22 years and had graduated from the St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in 1942.
She had served in the U.S. Air Force as a Ist lieutenant in the Medical Corp. She was member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
She is survived by a mother and step-father, Louis and Charlotte (Reddish) Benge of Kokomo; three sons, Paul and Bruce Zadra, both of Kokomo and David Zadra of Denver, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Keifer officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Peacock Funeral Home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The family requests that memorials be made to the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Cardiac Care Unit.
