Donnabelle (Parker) Simmons

SOUTH BEND Donna Simmons, 73, of Riverside Dr, died of natural causes at 8:30 p.m. Monday in her home. Mrs. Simmons was employed by Dr. Herbert True for over 20 years as a secretary.

She was born Nov. 3, 1919, in Flora, Ind., and lived in South Bend since 1927, coming from Flora.

On June 15, 1946, in South Bend, she married Jack W. Skiles. He died in 1971. On Aug, 21, 1976, she married Standifer Simmons. He died in 1978.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Schohl of South Bend; a son, Arthur Skiles of Huntington, Ind.; and five grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, American Business Women, Republican Womens Club, and American Association of Retired Persons.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
