Betty G. (Palmiter) Schuell

March 22, 1919 - May 1, 1998

Betty G. Schuell, 79, of Carriage Hills Drive, South Bend, passed away after an extendillness on Friday morning, in her residence. She was born on March 22, 1919, in South Bend, the daughter George and Zora (Norton) Holsington.

On March 22, 1941, as Betty G. Palmitter, she married John M. Schuell, who survives. She is also survived by her cousins, Floyd Werntz, Jr. of Cassopolis, Mich. and Foster S. of South Bend; and by several nieces and nephews.

Betty was a member of St. Paul's Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of South Bend Central High School and was the chairman of the 50-55 class reunions.

She was active with the South Bend Humane Society and Pet Refuge.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday in the Welsheimer Home with Rev. Ronald Dixon officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. today in the Funeral Home.
