SOUTH BEND - Elma Lois Kiplinger, 93, passed away Friday at 10:30 pm at the Sanctuary of St. Paul's. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of South Bend.

Lois, as people knew her, was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Alice Cole Kiplinger, and her father, Berton John Kiplinger, and her four older sisters, Alpha LaMar, June Huber Klockow, Marigrace Dunn, Ellen Jeffries Springsteen.

She is survived by nephews, Paul B. LaMar, Michael Duane LaMar, Spencer Jeffries, Robert Huber, James Dunn, and niece, Karen LaMar-Clark.

Miss Kiplinger worked as a waitress at Robertson's Tea Room and retired from Bendix (now Honeywell) after 45 years as a Comptometer Operator. She sang in the Bendix Women's Choir, was an avid dog lover, was a 68-year member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, an active lifetime member of Evangel Heights Church (formerly Lowell Heights) where she sang in the choir for 50 years. Lois was a much-loved aunt and sister and enjoyed her family & friends.
