COL Russell H. Jenkins

On Oct. 29, after almost 88 years of a wonderful life, Russell Jenkins peacefully passed away at home, with the love of his family surrounding him.

Russell was born on Nov. 23, 1919 in Huntington, Indiana. He joined the Army Air Corps in January of 1943 and continued serving in the Air Force as a pilot of numerous aircraft, as well as other command positions. He served his country for 30 years, retiring from the 15th Air Force, M.A.F.B, CA in February of 1972.

Russell is survived by his ever loving wife, B.J., of 61 years. His loving children Kiki, Rick, and Jill, and his loving grandchildren Christina and Russell.

He was the best husband, dad, grandpa, and friend you could ever have. He was truly an Officer and a Gentleman. We will miss him always and love him Forever. He will never leave our hearts.

Private family services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery.
