Evelyn Jane (Jackson) Tyler

Evelyn Jane Jackson Tyler, 77, of the 3100 block of Shore Dr., died June 15, 1998, in a local hospital. Mrs. Tyler was born in Huntington, Ind. She was the widow of J. Goodenow Tyler Jr. and retired from the Norfolk Visitor's Bureau. She was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk. Mrs. Tyler was a member of St. Mary's Infant Home Auxiliary, the Retired Officers' Wives Club and Kappa Delta Sorority.

Survivors include her father, Frank E. Jackson of Bedford, Va.; two daughters, Jane "Penny" Yates and her husband, Dan, of LaPlata, Md., Patricia "Pattie"
Fulford and her husband, George, of Huntersville, N.C.; a son, John "Goody" Tyler III and his wife, Sue, of Norfolk; two brothers, Robert Jackson of
Calabasas, Ca. and Jack Jackson of Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Resurrection will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father John J. Dorgan. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn
Cemetery. A Christian wake will be held at 7 p.m. today at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
