Dean E. DeLeury, 42, of 1002 S. 25th St., was dead on arrival at 9 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital, Detroit. He had suffered a heart attack. He was born in South. Bend on Jan. 17, 1919, and was a lifetime resident here.

On Sept. 2, 1950, in Buchanan, he married Rita Hall who survives. He was a sales engineer for the Bendix Corp. Also survivling are his mother, Mrs. Ruth DeLeury, South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Terrence Tinkel of Kettering, Me., and Miss Christine DeLeury,, at home; two brothers, Jack of Van Nuys, Calif., and Robert of Mishawaka, and a sister, Mrs. Dale Harbaugh, South Bend.

Friends may call in the Hollis Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday in the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church Paul E. Chalfant, D.D., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. DeLeury was a member of Post 303, American Legion, and of the South Bend Turners. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
