Robert Harold Crain

Robert H. Crain, 59, of 19485 Kern, was dead on arrival at 4:25 a.m. Sunday at Memorial Hospital of an extended illness. He was born on March 28, 1920, in South Bend and was a lifetime resident of the area.

On May 3, 1946, in South Bend, he married Virginia B. Workman, who survives. He is survived by a daughter, Karen, at home; two sons, Kevin of South Bend and Dennis of Michigan City.

He was a World War II veteran of the Air Force. He was a member of the St. Joseph Valley Lodge 45, F & AM and the St. Joseph Lodge 12. He retired in January from the Bendix Corp. after years of employment.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 4, at the Community Baptist Church. Dr. Vaughn Sprunger, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
