Harold E. Castleman

SOUTH BEND Harold E. Castleman, 73, of South Lombardy Drive, died at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Care Center-West. Mr. Castleman retired in 1980 from Foret Plastics, Niles. He was born April 12, 1920, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On April 19, 1941, in South Bend, he married Helen T. Slazewski. She survives, with a daughter, Peggy Winston of South Bend; two sons, David of Granger and Michael of Elkhart; seven grandchildren; and a half-brother, Richard Stanton of Mishawaka.

He was a veteran of World War II.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. St. Joseph Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
