Bernyce Evelyn (Tholander) Petrask

Bernyce Evelyn Petrask, loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend, passed away at House in peacefully Hospice Kennewick on August 26th, 2004, at the age of 83. Bernyce was born on August 12th, 1921 to Axel and Klara Tholander in South Bend, Indiana. She is survived by her husband, Edward M.; daughter, Taffie Barney; son and daughter- in-law, Stephen and Vivian; grandson, Todd Barney; and sister Margreta Bowers.

Ed and Bernyce were married in Las Vegas on December 10, 1944. They have lived in Kennewick since 1946.

Bernyce worked with Ed as he established his accounting practice. She later joined Frontier Federal Savings and Loan, retiring in 1980 as a vice president at the Kennewick branch. Bemyce had a sparkling sense of humor and brought much happiness to those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her family and friends knew her as a compassionate listener with the rare ability to make everything seem better. Her family would like to express their appreciation to the devoted caregivers at Hospice House. Callaway Gardens. and Canyon Lakes. It was Bernyce's wish that there be no services.
