Marcia Olive (Hendrickson) Cooper

SOUTH BEND - Marcia O. Cooper, 72, of Irish Hills, formerly of South 26th Street, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday in her sister's home after an illness. Mrs. Cooper was born Jan. 12, 1921, in Fulton County, Ind., and lived in this area most of her life.

On May 31 1942, in South Bend, she married Max R. Cooper. He died Feb. 8, 1987.

Surviving are a daughter, Tami Vest of Greenwood, Ind.; three sons, Robert C. of LaPorte, and Thomas F. and Michael T., both of South Bend; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Mary Lee of LaPorte; and a brother, Troy Hendrickson of South Bend.

She was a member of River Park United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star, and was a volunteer member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the church. Cremation will take place, with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday in the church. McGann Funeral Home, 2313 East Edison Road, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc. or to Multiple Sclerosis Society.
