Miles W. Fitzgerald

SOUTH BEND Miles W. Fitzgerald, 75, of Las Vegas, formerly of South Bend, died at 12:40 p.m. Saturday in his home.
Mr. Fitzgerald retired from the aircraft division of AlliedSignal and was an employee of the former Hank's Supermarket. He was born Dec. 12, 1919, in South Bend, and moved to Las Vegas in 1992. He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Nemes of South Bend; two sons, Steve of Las Vegas and Mike of Cassopolis; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Marie Mooney and JoAnn Lukasiewicz, both of South Bend, and Kathleen Fitzgerald of St. Louis.
A daughter, Sharon Wingeart, died in 1992.
He an Army veteran of World War II, a volunteer for Pathways Center for Behavioral Health at Memorial Hospital, and was a volunteer for Alcoholics Anonymous, Las Vegas.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Pathways Center.
