Bernardetta Kathryn (Collins) Hearn

SOUTH BEND - Bernardetta Collins Hearn, 69, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday at the nursing home. Mrs. Hearn was a classified advertising clerk for the Phoenix (Ariz.) Republic.

She was born Nov. 19, 1920, in South Bend, and returned to South Bend in 1968, coming from Phoenix.

She is survived by a sister, Ruth C. Gebhardt of South Bend; and two nephews.

She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ. There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. St., is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ memorial fund.
