MIDDLEFIELD Josephine (Zeithammer) DeMoss, 81, of Arthur Pease Road, died Feb. 18 at home.

Born in South Bend, Ind., Sept. 25, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Wenzl and Marie (Kottek) Zeithammer.

She moved in 1958 to Middlefield, where she served as town treasurer for 11 years.

Her husband, John E. DeMoss Sr., died in 1990.

She leaves a son, John E. DeMoss Jr. of Chester, two daughters, Jacqueline D. Conklin of Huntington and Charlotte D. Pease of Montgomery; a brother, Ernest Zeithammer of Venice, Fla.; two sisters, Rose Marie Hancock of South Bend, Ind., and Margaret Bruce of Griffith, Ind.; five grandchildren and nine great
