Harry Kale Braden

Harry Kale Braden, 51, of 2617 Pleasant St., died in his sleep Tuesday in his residence. He was employed as a clerk in the South Bend Post Office. He was born in Lansing, Mich., on Dec. 19, 1921.
On June 22, 1942, in Plymouth he married Elaine Heeter, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Henrietta Mathers of South Bend; a son, Sgt. Ralph Braden, stationed with the U.S. Marines in Barstow, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Diana Sheets and Mrs. Joan Maure, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Linda Gorski of Seaford, Del., seven grandchildren and two brothers, James, and J. Theodore, both of South Bend.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the South Bend Chapel of the Hollis Funeral Home where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Carl Lemna, pastor of the River Park United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Cemetery, Braden was a World War II veteran.
