Clem R.Golubski, 84, of Renfrew Drive, South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2005, in his home. He was born on December 15, 1920, in South Bend, to Arthur and Catherine (Krol) Golubski, who preceded him in death. Also deceased is a daughter, Sandra; a brother, Danny; and a sister, Charlotte.

On June 14, 1952, in St. Adalbert Church, Clem married Helen Bilski. Surviving Clem is his wife, Helen; children, Thomas (Tamara) Golubski of South Bend, Linda (Paul) Jonas of South Bend and James Golubski of South Bend; and six grandchildren, Kristen, David, Matthew, Laura, Ryan and Cameron.

Clem retired in 1983 after 32 years as a post office mail carrier. He also worked for 5 years delivering mail at St. Mary’s College. Clem was a member of St. Adalbert Church, a life member of American Legion Post #357, and PNA #83. He liked to travel and went to Florida every summer when his children were growing up. Clem enjoyed reading books and working on cars in his spare time. His parents owned the Lyric Theater on Western Avenue. Clem was a corporal in the U.S. Army as a radar crewman in the Southern Philippines.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 30, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.in ST.JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 31, 2005, at 10 a.m. in St. Adalbert Church.Entombment will follow in St.Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
