Services for Walter P. Thielka, 66, of 4217 York Road, who died at 4:05 a.m. Sunday in his home after an illness, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Cremation will take place at Michiana Crematory. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., where a parish rosary will be said at 4 p.m. and the Moose Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County Hospice.

Mr. Thielka was employed at White Farm Equipment as a maintenance supervisor and was employed at Kimball Sales and Service for 25 years. He was born Oct. 5, 1921, in South Bend, where he lived his entire life.

On Jan. 11, 1958, in South Bend, he married Betty Jane Mayfield. She survives along with a daughter, Patricia Molner of South Bend; two sons, Robert A. of South Bend and Henry L. of Lucas, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Kopach of LaPorte.

He was a member of the White Farm Equipment Management Club and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 58. He received the fellowship degree in Moose.

He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
