Alex J. Skoczylas, 66, of 518 S. Pulaski St., died at 3:10 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Skoczylas retired from RACO Inc. He was born May 18, 1920, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.
On July 18, 1949, in South Bend, he married Margaret M. Stypezynski. She died July 21, 1983.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Louise McNulty of Indianapolis; two sons, Chris and Michael, both of South Bend; three grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Sobierski of Edwardsburg.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
He was a member of St. Joseph Young Mens Society, American Legion Pulaski 357 Disabled American Veterans Chapter 39. He was a veteran of World War II
