Don E. Schrader

Don E. Schrader, 83, passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004. He was born June 20, 1921, in South Bend, Ind., to August and Mary Schrader. Don was seven when his father died, and his stepfather, Earl Stonehill, raised him.

He served as a corporal in Squadron B of the 4160th Army Air Force Unit during World War II. For 19 years Don was a treasurer at Associates. He later worked for Waterfield Mortgage as a loan officer and was awarded membership in the Waterfield Club for his contributions to the company, and retired from there in 1987.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Henrietta Bukowski Schrader, whom he married Nov. 25, 1948. He is also survived by his sons, Gary Schrader, Tom Schrader and wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Janine Schrader; grandson, Alex Schrader.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept 9, in St. Mary Magdalene, 527 S. Houston Ave., Humble, Texas, with Msgr. Paul Procella as celebrant. A private burial will be at Houston National Cemetery.
