Robert Edward "Bud" Russell

Robert (Bud) Russell. 57. of Monterey Park. Calif.. a former South Bend resident, died Saturday apparently following a heart attack.
He was born on August 13, 1921, in South Bend where he graduated from the former Central High School. Russell also graduated from the University of Notre Dame. He was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 30 years, retiring a year ago.
Surviving are his wife. Vernon: a daughter. Olivia. and a son, Jeff, all in California: a grandchild; two step-sisters. Mrs. Hattie Derf of Naples. Fla., and Mrs. Lois Hawk of South Bend; two step-brothers, Eston Hupp of Lafayette and William Hupp of Mishawaka. and his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Russell of Tavares, Fla.
Services will be Tuesday at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Monterey Park. Calif
